My thoughts on the movie exactly. I first saw it in 6th grade,(I think my teacher’s goal that year was to educate us on 80’s movies because she also showed us The Princess Bride!) and I remember it creeped me out so much I couldn’t watch it for a while.  I can now admit I like the movie and the music and LOVE Sarah’s ballgown and the idea of a Masquerade ball.  Just not the creepy vibe.  (However, thanks to fan comics such as Roommates and Girls Next Door my opinion of Jareth has mellowed to “In fan works, if Sarah is of age, he’s only 50% creepy.”)
